You Can Call Me Al

~ Barney Green- Money Matters!!! ~

NOW PLAYING:

I am back to cut one final promo and this time I will be addressing my Hardcore Match against Kgosi in the Hardcore Title Tournament. I am on a winning streak right now, bro. I don't even know why I am wasting time about you when I could be reading the graphic novels I bought instead. I would rather be reading Rosario + Vampire Volume One over doing this nonsense. You haven't really done anything to prove yourself to me in all honesty. I already know the outcome of this match before I even go out there hence why I put more effort towards the Battle Royal. I got a title shot in reserve but I wasn't gonna back down from a chance to fight for the WWG World Championship. Even if I don't win, I can at least say I gave my all.

I am very dedicated to this business because I just was at the right place at the right time. I just happened to get lucky. That is why I am so appreciative of all the fans I got and I try to maintain a positive attitude even when I lose. Maybe I am a bit immature at my age because I enjoy a good drink or two. More like forty or fifty. Heh. I usually try to treat everybody with respect backstage whether they be heel or be face.

It doesn't matter to me what they are considered. Face it. I am just a huge fan of wrestling in general and I get to live my dream. The dream that many people don't get to live. Years go by and you see wrestlers at flea markets wrestling earning gas money compared to what I make. Some of them stay there for years. I have said this before and that is I am grateful for the fans. I do this for them and the fact that I love this sport. I am not the smartest man around but I fight with heart. I am an honest wrestler. Some people can compare me to somebody like "Irish" Micky Ward because we are both blue collar workers and honest. Our saving grace is the fact the we can take a punch. We both have heart and dedication to our respective sports. His trademark left hook that rattled many opponents while the Green Dream has made many opponents tap. We both live in Massachusetts. He hails from Lowell and I hail from Boston.

Time for me to gear up for two matches this night and possibly three. I got no fear or regrets at what happens in the ring. It's about how much you can take in the ring and keep moving forward. How much life can try to beat you down is what makes you a man. I got the heart of a warrior and will keep going. Even if I am comatose in the ring, I will be standing straight up ready to fight. I won't disappoint my fans and I am sure I will make a damn good hardcore champion.

Whether I am in the opening or the main event, I give my all each match. It seems people tend to write me off. I admit at times that I can be a bit streaky when it comes to winning but sometimes there are weeks where people get the better of me in the ring. I admit my flaws and have no problem with them. I respect Adam Starr as a competitor. A true legend in WWG. I respect the legends. He had a rough night and loss. I am not gonna use that to my advantange and try to coast through my matches. Kgosi is an exception though because it seems he doesn't care about the business like I do.

I don't know what else I can possibly say so I am just gonna end it here and hope for the best. Later.

The scene opens up outside of a house and we see Barney Green, who has a bandaid on his eyebrow due to it being split open earlier in the day from the fight he was in, and Jeff Night standing outside. Green knocks on the door and some guy opens it.

Barney: I heard it was your birthday today so I figured I would pay you a visit since I found out you are a fan of mine. Hope you have a great birthday, Stan.

Stan: Wow. I can't believe you actually showed up at my house to wish me a happy birthday. This is unbelievable. Barney Green actually came to my house. Please come in.

Stan steps aside and lets Green and Jeff Night into his house as music is playing in the background and we see a group of Stan's friends around.

Stan: Thats awfully nice of you to come visit me and I appreciate that.

Barney: Don't worry about it, bro. I appreciate each and every one of my fans. I will do whatever I can to make them happy. Without them, I wouldn't have a job right now.

Jeff: Thats what has always amazed me about you, man. You always make time for your fans. Regardless of where you are, you are always willing to take pictures and sign autographs.

Barney: Thanks, Jeff. Now, lets get this party started.

The scene fades to black.
